Who we are:
We are Lakeland’s Original CrossFit Affiliated Gym. We provide an open space of 4500 sq/ft, including Men and Women’s locker rooms with showers, and housing various exercise modalities for your training experience. What we do:
CFL is not a cozy “Globo Gym”. Meaning there are no televisions, no machines, no comfortable spots to sit, no smoothie bar, and no tanning beds. So what do we have? Plenty of open space for lifting, running, jumping, throwing, pulling, and pushing. Isolation movements have no place here, we focus on the body as a whole, that is, functional movement patterns that occur in activities of daily living. Core/Functional Strength seems to be contemporary buzzwords, but it is the foundation of our program.
Everyone can do CrossFit but CrossFit is not for everyone. The people who thrive at CrossFit are committed to hard work, are highly motivated individuals, are willing to try without the fear of failure, and are eager for a challenge. Here you may never do the same workout twice. Here Routine is our enemy, which leads to mediocrity, complacency, and injury.
For some of our clients, fitness can mean the difference between life and death. For others, it is the decision between a life well lived and a life wasted. Our objective is genuine fitness, not the appearance of fitness. Individuals push hard and risk more alongside trustworthy peers. The atmosphere is one of support and camaraderie to anyone willing to put in the work.

What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is an empirically driven, clinically tested, and community developed strength and conditioning program. Our fitness program aims to improve your capacity in all 10 General Physical Fitness Domains: cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. Each workout is scaled by load and intensity matching each individual’s abilities.
Finally, Our community is a group of ordinary folks doing extraordinary things. We believe CrossFit provides a platform to empower individuals to conquer the seemingly impossible. CFL is a diverse community of individuals. We have moms, dads, fire fighters, police officers, and military personnel. We have members who are old, young, and everywhere in between. The things they share are motivation, hard work, honesty, and integrity. These are not catch phrases or useless adjectives. These are the characteristics that we have built our business and community upon.
